Lydia is the stalling queen when it comes to bed time. I was trying to get the girls to bed in a hurry because Lindy was crying and hungry and Liza was being crazy and driving me crazy and Lydia was just trying to slow down the process. We said prayers and read a story and I chose to skip brushing teeth and scriptures. (I know I am a bad Mom) Milas isn't here right now to help with the process and I am done for the day. So I got Liza in her bed and Lyida came out and said, "Oh Mom we forgot to read the Book of Mormon" so I said ok and we read one verse. Then we had to say prayers again after a minute of arguing about who was going to say it. Then she said " Oh I forgot to get a snack" I said no snack tonight, it's time for bed, go get in bed." She sat there and didn't move. I told her that I needed to feed Lindy so she needed to go get in bed. She put her face in her hands and grumbled, "Mom, I always go to bed." After another minute of stalling she finally made it.

I can't believe that Lydia is 3. I know that she has been here for 3 years, but I still remember pretty vividly that day that she was born. I always remember when I was younger and people would say to me or my younger siblings and say, "I remember when you were born!" It never really meant much, It was kinda like well I don't really even know you, who cares if you remember when I was born. But I now know they were saying it in amazement of how fast time goes by.
Lydia is such a joy to our family. I am so blessed to have such a good little girl to be the oldest of my children. She is so loving and cares so much for her sisters. It is innate in her to be a mother. She loves music and dancing. She is always singing and dancing with Liza. She is not so much of a performer when it comes to lots of people, but when we are at home she will get on the stairs and want to have a show. She will say "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's time for. . . Liza! YAY Liza," and then she will help Liza sing a song. "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's time for Mommy....YAY Mommy!" Then I will sing a song. and then it is her turn, and if you sing along with her she will tell you to stop, and make sure you know that it is her turn. She will then start over with her song, always followed by a round of applause.
I love that she is now old enough to have some sort of conversation with her. She is starting to understand conversations that Milas and I have and she will add her two bits, and laugh when we laugh. She has got her fake laugh down PAT.
She loves her friends, She wanted to have a birthday party, which is did not, and I asked her who would come, and she then starts listing all her friends, I was impressed with all the friends that she has, and that she could think of all their names on the spot like that. The list of course started out with Mark, then Kenna, Karli, Gracie, and continued on for quite a while. Mark is Lydia's favorite, they have a love hate relationship, but he is the topic of many conversations. Whenever she dresses up and puts a ring on she says, " I will get married, to a Mark boy." I am so glad we have such good friends here.
She loves her breakfast food, it's perfect, cause me too. someday we can go on Lydia and Mommy dates to Ihop. :) She woke up a little grouchy and I told her happy birthday, that sure put a smile on her face. I asked her what she wanted for breakfast, and without any hesitation she said "french toast." They were delicious. Then for lunch she had pancakes, and for dinner PIZZA. I think she had a good day.
Thank you to everyone that wished Lydia a happy birthday, she loved it. She would even say Thank you when someone told her Happy Birthday.

Milas Blessed Lindy yesterday. I love it when my babies are blessed, it is so nice to here some of the blessings that Heavenly Father has for them. She is suvh a sweet baby, and I am so glad that she gets to be my baby. She has really started smiling a lot and she laughed for the first time this weekend. And do you notice the cute curly hair? I just love it, FINALLY! I always wanted a curly haired baby! We just love everything about our little Lindy Lou. (maybe not all those diaper changes but we'll still keep her. :D)
